CPP losing its appeal

Among the noteworthy developments during the recent 2010 elections was the declining support of the people towards the Communist Party of the Philippines. Its known leaders, senatoriables Satur Ocampo and Liza Masa barely made a good fight. Even its party lists won only one seat each, while other candidates who allied with the party were left behind, to include Senator Manny Villar.

This is a clear evidence that the Communist Party is indeed dying. It would never proliferate in a system so democratic such as what we have in the country. Anyway, who isn't getting tired of the traffic and the chaos they are causing whenever they feel like mass demonstrating. Remember the PUP Kabataan partylist shameful violent act?

The recent election also shows that the CPP is not sincere in fighting for the rights of the oppressed. In fact, it made alliance with the son of former President Marcos, the dictator the party has been attacking for decades due to alleged human rights violations it committed especially to its party members.
